Personalized Service. Clients come to us with highly personal matters and we know every client is unique. Our skill and experience ensure that we, as your counsel, know the rules and techniques. But for us, our relationship involves more than skill and knowledge. The key to successful representation lies in effective communication. We make this commitment to our clients: First, we listen to you until we understand your goals and your concerns. Second, we explain your options and answer your questions, with as much simplicity or intricacy as you prefer, but without legal jargon, to be sure that you understand the options available to you. Third, we work with you to craft practical solutions that are as conservative or aggressive, and as simple or sophisticated as your needs and desires require.

Experience. We believe strongly in the benefits that experience brings to our practice. Our attorneys have more than seventy years of combined experience in estate planning and probate. Mickey Davis, Melissa Willms, and Dirk Moore are Board Certified in Estate Planning and Probate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, and Mickey and Melissa are both Fellows of The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC). We limit our practice to estate planning, probate, estate and trust administration, and related areas. As a result, we are able to offer experience and expertise comparable to that of the largest firms in the state. At the same time, our size enables us to provide a level of personal service that may be difficult to find at a larger firm.

Education. Finally, we believe in taking an active role in advancing the estate planning and probate field and educating estate planning and probate professionals. We do not merely keep up with current developments; we help other professionals keep current. Our activities include:

  • Writing and delivering speeches to hundreds of estate planning and probate professionals every year

  • Working in leadership positions on estate planning and probate continuing education committees

  • Working in leadership positions to advance the laws that affect estate planning and probate

  • Authoring and editing books on estate planning and probate utilized by hundreds of attorneys
